Camera SD & MicroSD Cards
Evaluation of SD cards from mirrorless cameras, DSLRs, and handheld recorders showing "Card Cannot Be Read" or "Need to Format" warnings after shoots.
Media: SDHC, SDXC & MicroSDAccidental deletions, card read errors, or formatted media can put irreplaceable ceremony footage and creative projects at risk. S. Video Creation offers dedicated diagnostic evaluation and extraction services for camera SD cards, external hard drives, and flash drives in Katni.
Data recovery feasibility depends directly on the physical integrity of the storage media and whether deleted sectors have been overwritten by new files. Please stop writing new files or taking new photos on the affected card or drive immediately. Continuing to use the card or running unverified consumer utilities may cause permanent data loss. We perform an initial diagnostic intake to assess recovery viability; however, recovery cannot be guaranteed for physically degraded, damaged, or overwritten storage media.
We evaluate logical read issues, accidental format incidents, and missing directory structures across standard consumer and camera media.

Media: SDHC, SDXC & MicroSDAssessment of portable USB hard drives containing project backups where file partitions have become unallocated, RAW, or accidentally cleared.
Media: Portable USB 3.0/Type-C HDDsScanning flash drives experiencing corrupted file allocation tables (FAT/exFAT), unreadable directories, or abrupt disconnection errors during transfers.
Media: Standard USB Flash DrivesDeep carving for accidentally deleted video clips (MP4, MOV, MTS) and raw camera files before memory sectors are overwritten with new data.
Scenario: Empty Trash / Quick DeleteWhen a camera card is accidentally quick-formatted in camera or on a computer, we inspect the unallocated sectors to reconstruct original file blocks.
Scenario: In-Camera Quick FormatLocal clients can hand-deliver their media directly to our Katni studio. Physical inspection avoids risky courier transit for already unstable cards.
Location: Katni Studio Drop-offWe follow safe recovery protocols designed to protect source media from additional stress or data corruption.
The storage device is mounted with write-protection enabled so no operating system processes or temporary files can write to the affected card.
We perform a low-level sector analysis to detect remaining file headers, partition boundaries, and evaluate the volume of recoverable data.
Identified video and image files are extracted strictly to a separate, healthy destination drive—never back onto the compromised source media.
Recovered video containers are inspected for playback integrity. The client confirms satisfaction before the recovered data is handed over.
